Commercial and industrial buildings.

Custom buildings at a mass produced price.

The fully bolted, back to back, prefabricated roll formed galvanised steel frame is what makes Ranbuild Covermaster sheds out-price, out-perform and out-last other types of construction. With no timber content they require low maintenance and are fire and termite resistant.

Every shed in the Ranbuild Covermaster range has been designed to give you the strongest, most reliable building possible. Couple this with lower cost compared to a custom made building and you have excellent value for money. With over 60 years experience in the steel shed Industry, Ranbuild buildings are well and truly tried and tested.

Clear spans (column to column) up to 30m, and multi-spans up to 100m. Height increments of 100mm range from 3m up to 10m to the gutter line. Lengths can just about be to the horizon. The range and applications are almost endless. All around Australia, there are Ranbuild workshops on mining sites, production and storage buildings on vineyards, orchards, brick works, timber mills and processing plants. If you have the space, we can cover it.

Partition walls for offices and amenities are steel framed and clad to match the quality and colour of the rest of your building. Load bearing mezzanine floors are a standard option, providing light storage or additional office space. Polycarbonate skylights and wall highlights add natural lighting to work areas and save electricity.

Choose a cladding profile and a colour from the Lysaght COLORBOND ® range. In fact, at Novobuild we tailor standard buildings to fit your special needs. All you have to do is tell us what you want. Our building sizes page lists the full range of shed spans and heights. Our colours page also shows the twenty cladding colours that are available.

Owning your own shed. If you run a small business you know all about maintaining low overheads. Rents usually increases every year and often take a leap when the real estate is re-valued. Buying your own shed with fixed interest re-payments helps stop overheads rising sharply, usually when least expected or at a bad time. You also get the benefit of tax deductions for routine maintenance plus capital appreciation because quality steel buildings increase in value with inflation. Talk to us about BetterPay and put your capital into your business where it will earn a return for you.

Types of sheds. Gable roof sheds are the most popular for light industrial and commercial applications. They provide more internal roof space to dissipate heat or cold transferred through the roof cladding. Skillion or monoslope roof buildings are more suitable for storage sheds, awning extensions and car ports, etc. The lower roof pitch lowers the price to a small extent, but the overall building volume also decreases. Condensation also needs to be considered and low roof pitch buildings need to have an added moisture barrier fitted under the roof cladding if used for industrial or commercial purposes.

Industry specific sheds. Aircraft Hangars are a classic example of an industry specific building. Hangars use standard mass produced Covermaster building components with the addition of a heavy duty end frame designed to carry the wide-opening doors. The special end frame also allows for a clear opening not possible with conventional construction.

We believe Ranbuild aircraft hangar sliding doors are the best on the market. They run on ball bearing wheels and embedded tracks with wind guides at the top to keep everything aligned. For fully open end walls, we supply external track and supports on one or both sides so the doors can slide outside the building. All the other options such as access doors, windows, skylights, insulation, ventilation and COLORBOND ® cladding are available for hangars.

Small to medium shed examples. The first few illustrations on the right show typical small businesses that operate fully in a Ranbuild shed. They are all standard buildings with doors and windows added to provide lighting and access where required. The third and fourth photos shows slightly more up-market sheds. They both have awnings fitted over their windows and doors.

Big sheds. The last two illustrations on the right show much larger structures. They are both standard buildings with large industrial doors added to provide vehicle access. There are also a quantity of skylights and wall lights for natural lighting, and roof ventilators to discharge trapped air.
