All the main frame, sub frame and cladding materials on our buildings are made by Lysaght from genuine BlueScope steel. The high quality base steel, coloured and zinc coatings are superior to imported product that is often thinner, lighter and softer by comparison. For strength, security and long life, nothing beats Lysaght and BlueScope steel.
Q. Can you make a shed to fit the space available and the machinery I have?
A. We supply sheds in spans from 2.5m to 36m and up to 10m high. All of our buildings are portal frame design so there is almost no limit to length.
Q. What type of cladding can I have on my building?
A. You can choose ZINCALUME ® natural steel cladding or COLORBOND ® coated steel cladding in a range of 20 colours, 2 thicknesses and 2 profiles (Trimdek or Corrugated). We only use genuine Lysaght steel cladding because it is durable, strong and thermally efficient.
Q. What sort of vehicle access doors do you have?
A. Vertical roller doors are available for almost all of our buildings. There are industrial and domestic models in either manual or electric operation, the latter being remotely controlled. For very wide openings we supply sliding doors that run on ball bearing castors. These are the only option for buildings such as aircraft hangars, etc.
Q. Do you provide finance?
A. We do better, we have Better Pay. It allows you to purchase a shed today while making convenient set payments over an agreed time frame. The process is quick and easy and your contract has NO INTEREST EVER!
Q. Do you trade in old sheds on new ones?
A. Unfortunately no, we don't have a second hand trader's license. We could provide the phone number of a scrap metal merchant if you are really desperate.
Q. Are your sheds guaranteed?
A. Absolutely. All Ranbuild designs are pre-engineered by registered structural engineers in accordance with the current Australian standards. All major frame members and cladding are manufactured in Australia by Lysaght and are covered by their warranty of up to 15 years.
Q. Can I build my own shed or do I have to get it erected?
A. The choice is yours. Our sheds come with the most complete assembly instruction book you have ever seen - usually about 50 to 60 pages. On the other hand, we can nominate experienced erectors who will put up your shed for a modest fee.
Q. Can I look at your sheds before buying one?
A. We recommend you do. Sheds all look good in the photos, but if you pay sight unseen before delivery, you are likely to be disappointed. Novobuild have a display site where you see exactly what you are buying. For large or special buildings, we will take or introduce you to an existing customer who has the same or similar building.
Q. In the event of a severe storm or accident, are replacement parts available?
A. This is probably the most important question that is often forgotten. All of our major building components are made in Lysaght's Australian factories using standard materials. Optional items such as windows and doors are also manufactured locally. We can supply just about any component for a Ranbuild shed up to 15 years old or more. (note that some larger steel section sizes are only rolled monthly).
Q. Do I need to get council building approval before erecting one of your sheds?
A. Yes, you will need to get approval for any building above fence height in a local government area. Different locations have different requirements as to the strength of the building, its size limitations and how it is enclosed. We have designs that comply with the various building codes all around Australia and can supply certified documentation after receiving your deposit to go with your application. No more money is paid until you obtain building approval and it is put into production. If our building does not meet the nominated code requirements, we will refund your deposit.
